Good preparation is key. It means I can fully focus on the incredible wildlife encounters ahead, without worrying about whether I’ve brought the right lens or if my feet will end up soaked in the loch.

The trip was made truly special by the nicest group of wildlife crazy photographers I have had the privilege to meet.  I started the trip as a stranger and ended it with a group of people I am honoured to call friends. 

This trip was unforgettable, the group were amazing, and Mike and the team were always attentive. Memories were made and I had so much fun.

Evening meals, the smell of bacon in the mornings, packed lunches ready for the day ahead, it was all part of the charm.

Strange as it sounds, that homely vibe was a big part of what made the trip so special and memorable.

Some standout moments? Too many to name — but the Bee-eaters certainly top the list.

The fair hosts a brilliant array of talks, demonstrations, a live podcast stage, which will this year feature The WildX Podcast, another of our ventures along with the brilliant Andy Green, as well as hundreds of exhibition stands from camera brands, other tour operators, outdoor gear and clothing companies.
